Don Camarón: Discover Exceptional Latin American Seafood in Miami

Visiting from out of state, wanted to find a yummy lunch spot and couldn't have been more pleased. Shared 3 dishes with my husband, and we loved the customer service and delicious flavors of all the dishes. Next time we'll order a drink because all the concoctions coming from the bar looked great!

If you're in the area and craving seafood, I'd suggest this family style/low key restaurant, Don Camarón. It is about 30-40 mins from me but we don't mind the drive and have visited several times through the years, including today. No reservations required, even with big parties like my family and I, and service is usually very good. Things I recommend: -shrimp ceviche (fish one doesn't always have a lot of flavor) -whole fried snapper -breaded snapper fillet -fish fingers for kids -shrimp in creole or garlic sauce or a la francaise -salmon with shrimp -fried fish bowl & shrimp bowl -fish sandwich For sides we usually do white rice, yellow rice, fries, maduros or tostones. These I have not found enjoyable and no longer order them. -fish soup (not too much flavor) -fried snapper fillet (figured it would be better than breaded, but I was wrong) Desserts: I've had the 3 leches, flan and crème brûlée and they've always been good. Finish off with a colada :)

Grouper grilled was phenomenal. Just what I was craving. Their soup was not worth it. Pricing for the fish and oysters was very reasonable. Had their oysters as well and they were super fresh. Would go back. Attentive staff. Ambiance was relaxed and welcoming.

When it comes to seafood in Miami, the standard is high. Don Camarón must know this because they never disappoint! We started with the shrimp bisque; deliciously smooth with plenty of shrimp pieces and flavor. I had the DC Tacos for my entree (on the app menu and my absolute favorite). So good, so fresh, so perfectly seasoned. I could eat these every day. My hubby had the fried snapper filet with sautéed broccoli, fries and tostones...absolute perfection! Add in Service that is attentive and friendly every time. If you're looking for great, Miami style seafood go visit the Don.

Been here twice and it's consistently good. We always get the same thing. The pan con minuta. So yummy. They have 2 sides a sit down section and an outside more casual section in the back. Service is good and fast.

I hadn't been here in awhile after a few bad experiences with their delivery but I recently went back & it was VERY good! Food was great & so was the service. I had the SALMONCILANTRO WITH GRILLED SHRIMP & my dad had the CEVICHE DE CAMARON. For dessert, we split the BAHAMA MAMA (coconut rum tres leches). Everything was fresh, flavorful & absolutely delicious. Will remove from my blacklist & will def be back :)
